Warren, I think you are right about this address. If you look at The Tour Guide he was indeed in Panto in Nottingham from December to January, it may have been extended into February, as I've seen an article that said the show sold out very quickly.
In those days Lonnie would have received post at the theatre or at his hotel if it was urgent. Part of the variety touring thing was that the theatres door keeper acted as your laundry, assistant and helper and it still remains protocol to tip the door keep on the way out (if he's helped). Therefore I think it is probably the case he was working in Nottingham Theatre and received his mail there or to a near by hotel / friend.
